Community Transport

As well as conventional bus services, there are a number of local community schemes provided by other agencies/organisations to supplement the existing public transport networks. Many of these schemes are run by local volunteers.

There are several community car and minibus schemes in operation across the County – please visit the Nottinghamshire County Council website for more details at: Nottinghamshire County Council

Nottinghamshire County Council Community Transport schemes rely on volunteers to provide these valuable services and they are currently looking for additional support. If you have a few spare hours each week, please call them on 0115 977 4600 for an informal chat.

Dial-A-Ride is a scheme which provides a specialist door-to-door travel service to people who reside in Nottinghamshire and who find using public transport difficult. The service can be used for nearly every type of journey, whether it's a trip to the shops, to a hospital, or to the dentists (image of dial-a-ride bus)
