Triptimes is the only text-messaging based Journey Planning service in the UK! and is the revolutionary, free way to find out bus and tram times through your mobile phone.
Triptimes has been developed through partnership between NCT, Nottingham City Council, InfoHub and NET.
To use Triptimes, you need to know the stop code of your bus or tram stop. 
You can find the code of your nearest stop by:
- Looking on the stop plate – every NCT and NET stop has the code on the top left hand side
- Looking at the route map on the bus or service leaflet
- Calling the NCT Travel Centre on 0115 950 60 70 To find the time of the next scheduled bus or tram from your stop. Write your text message
- Enter “NTM” followed by the stop code e.g. “NTM SH14” – this gives the time of the next bus(es) from stop SH14
- Enter “NTM SH14 to WO18” – this gives the time of the next journey between stop CA05 and W018, including connections.
- If you do not know your stop code, you can enter the road or area name, and TextTrip can still give you detailed advice:
- E.g. “NTM Arnold Front Street to Wollaton Vale” – this gives the times of the entire journey, including connections
- E.g. “NTM Arnold to Wollaton”
- Send the message to 82280
- Wait a few seconds and receive the free reply
Pick up a text trip leaflet and use the handy card inside to write the stop codes of the main stops you use on and then keep it in your purse or wallet for the next time you want to find the time of your bus.
