NCT Easyrider Anytime, the “pay as you go” travel card, has been short listed for the Innovation Award at the 10th UK Bus Awards, dubbed the “Bus Oscars”.
The Award for Innovation recognises a dramatic response to a need, or a significant development that revolutionises the bus industry. Easyrider Anytime is one of a kind and is exclusively available to Nottingham’s bus users.
Following extensive marketing research, Easyrider Anytime was introduced in September 2004 and gives the flexibility to passengers of purchasing up to 20 days travel in advance and then using them on a “pay as you go” basis.
From only £2.05 per day, for unlimited all day bus travel in the City Area, Easyrider Anytime is excellent value for money for the occasional user and has the added bonus of being interchangeable between family members – a parent can use Easyrider Anytime to go to work two or three days a week and the card can also be used at the weekend for a daughter to enjoy a night on the town.
Easyrider Anytime is available from the NCT Travel Centre in the Old Market Square for 2, 5, 10 and 20 day denominations and once purchased places the holder in complete control of their bus travel, with added security benefits of having pre-paid travel removing the need to carry change.
Easyrider Anytime is one of seven short listed entries for the Innovation Award and the winners will be announced at the London Hilton Hotel on Wednesday 9th November 2005.
