Nottingham City Transport today issues performance results for each of the six Key Performance Indicators for July 2005:
1: Service performance – 99.5% of all journeys operated
2: Service reliability – 91.4% of all buses departing the City on time
3: Service reliability – 91.8% of buses departing intermediate stops on time
4: Call centre – 95% of all calls answered by the Travel Centre
5: Fleet – 82% of the fleet now operating with low floor access
6: Fleet – average fleet age now only 4.8 years
Commenting on the latest performance, Anthony Carver-Smith Network Developer and Quality Controller for NCT said, “Unfortunately we have missed our target for service reliability from the City Centre. The main reason for this was the horrendous traffic congestion in the Victoria Centre area on the build up to the Turning Point road switch. At times buses were severely delayed and this has had an impact on our performance in this area, which has until now been very good. Early observations since the Turning Point road scheme was introduced are showing that reliability has been restored to previous levels and passengers will continue to benefit from our reliable bus network in the City”.
NCT Passenger Charter information is displayed in the NCT Travel Centre in the Old Market Square and online at www.nctx.co.uk.
