Nottingham City Transport has been notified by the TGWU of their intention to take strike action again on Saturday 10th June from 4.00am until 4.00am on the Sunday.
This will be the third Saturday of strike action by the TGWU following unsuccessful pay negotiations which have been ongoing since December 2005.
This action will affect services from 3 of the 4 NCT depots, and passengers should not expect any NCT, Park and Ride or Skylink services to operate tomorrow.
The Pathfinder services to Newark and Southwell are unaffected by this dispute and will continue to operate as scheduled. NCT services will resume as normal on Sunday 11th June.
Ongoing talks have been taking place over the past two weeks to resolve this dispute and NCT management met with TGWU officials yesterday to continue negotiations.
The parties reached a consensus on a deal which is to be put to a mass meeting of drivers to take place at 10.00 am on Saturday 10 th June.
It is hoped that the TGWU members will agree that this new deal should be put to all members for acceptance tomorrow, this will take place by ballot soon after.
A further statement will be issued late on Saturday 10th June following this meeting regarding this dispute
