NCT Network Plans 2006/7

Following the recent announcement of changes to some bus services from Sunday 3rd September 2006, NCT would like to advise that no further changes are planned to be introduced to our commercial services until early next year.

NCT has been made aware of rumours circulating regarding two particular parts of the network and would like to clarify the actual position for service 25 and our Yellow and Turquoise line routes to the north-west of Nottingham.

Service 25 – City and Arnold

NCT would like to clarify that contrary to rumours currently circulating regarding service 25, there are no plans to withdraw this service or make further changes to the timetable, following the enhancements recently introduced on 23rd July 2006.

As part of these enhancements, the Sunday daytime service was extended to Arnold Town Centre, following passenger requests for improved links and all evening journeys were extended to Mapperley Shops. Extra peak time journeys were also introduced to cater for growing demand on this popular service.

Yellow and Turquoise Lines – Services 60, 61, 62, 63, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 77, 78, 79

Proposals are currently being drawn up to make changes to our Yellow and Turquoise line services which serve the north-west of Nottingham, following initial passenger research which has identified areas for improvement.

Full consultation will start in the autumn with all interested stakeholders including our passengers, with an expected implementation date of February 2007.
