Minor timetable changes will be introduced to the Pathfinder network from Monday 27th February 2006, in direct response to passenger feedback.
Building on the changes in early January, designed to improve the viability of the Newark-based services, a small number of additional alterations will be made to improve capacity and reliability at core times.
In summary, the changes include:
Service 90 – Newark to Nottingham via A46
Morning buses before 09.00 on Mondays to Saturdays will be revised, including additional journey time on Mondays to Fridays to improve arrival reliability in Nottingham. Buses will operate up to 15 minutes earlier between Balderton and Coney Grey to reflect higher traffic levels along the A46 and A52.
Service 100 - Newark/Southwell to Nottingham via Lowdham and Burton Joyce
On Mondays to Fridays, the morning peak timetable before 09.00 will be revised to give more regular intervals of buses towards Nottingham, with some buses leaving Nottingham slightly later.
On schooldays, a new double deck service 26 will be introduced, running from Lowdham at 07.51, Burton Joyce at 08.00, arriving in Nottingham at 08.35. Operated by an NCT, exact fare bus, this journey will continue to offer the same fares and Farecard discounts as the normal 100 service, but change will not be available.
On Saturday mornings, the timetable will be revised before 10.00 to better reflect the demand experienced and to allow drivers to be redeployed and better utilised on Monday to Friday peak times.
Service 101 - Newark and Southwell
Additional Saturday morning and afternoon journeys will be introduced.
Commenting on these latest changes, Anthony Carver-Smith NCT Network Developer and Quality Controller said, “We wouldn’t normally make further changes to timetables so soon, but we know our Pathfinder passengers want us to act quickly to improve the reliability of the service and also increase capacity. We would like to thank all the passengers for their patience and feedback since we made the changes in January.”
