Passengers face disruption to bus services and temporary bus stop arrangements in the City Centre this Bank Holiday weekend as the latest phase of Nottingham City Council’s Turning Point project gets underway
From 18.30 on Saturday 26th August 2006 until the works are completed on Monday 28th August 2006, resurfacing works on Upper Parliament Street will result in temporary bus stop alterations for many passengers in the City Centre.
Bus services will be affected as follows:
Brown Line 15, 16, 17 to Hucknall Road
These buses will be relocated to temporary stops on Shakespeare Street between South Sherwood Street and Mansfield Road.
Lilac Line 21, 23, 24, 25, 27 to Carlton and Bakersfield
These services will not be able to access King Street during these works. Buses will temporarily terminate on King Edward Street which will be the main setting down and picking up area for these buses. Stop HG outside Antibos will be out of use during these works.
Blue Line 40, 41, 42 to St Anns
Our St Anns buses will operate as normal throughout the works, but will not call at the King Edward Street stop HG.
Red Line 44 to Netherfield, Gedling
Service 44 will not be able to access Queen Street during these works. Buses will terminate at the Victoria Centre, stop VN, outside Argos. Buses entering the City from Woodborough Road will operate as normal to Milton Street, but then turn left to the Victoria Centre stop.
Red Line 45 to Mapperley, Gedling
Service 45 will not be able to access Queen Street during these works. Buses will terminate at the Victoria Centre on Milton Street, stop VW, opposite John Lewis. Buses entering the City from Netherfield will operate as normal to Upper Parliament Street/Milton Street, but then turn right to the temporary Victoria Centre stop.
Lime Line 56, 57, 59 to Mansfield Road, Arnold
These services will temporarily stop on South Sherwood Street, stop GA for the 56, 59 and stop GB for the 58.
Turquoise Line 60, 62 to Hyson Green and Bulwell
These services will not be able to stop at the Elite during these works and stop EB will be withdrawn. Alternative stops are available at Victoria Centre Clock Tower (stop VB) and Upper Parliament Street at the West End Arcade (stop UD)
Yellow Line 69, 71 to Sherwood Rise, Percy Street, Bulwell and Rise Park
These buses will be relocated to temporary stops on Shakespeare Street between South Sherwood Street and Mansfield Road.
Pathfinder service 100 to Burton Joyce, Lowdham, Southwell and Newark
This service will not be able to access Queen Street during these works. Buses will temporarily terminate on King Edward Street which will be the main setting down and picking up area for these buses. Stop HG outside Antibos will be out of use during these works.
All NCT services will be subject to delays during these works and passengers are advised to give themselves extra time whilst the works are underway. In addition, passengers are reminded that a Sunday service will be operating on Bank Holiday Monday, 28th August 2006.
