It’s service with a smile for passengers visiting the NCT Travel Centre for advice on bus travel, thanks to the introduction of a new “Bus Doctor” to help diagnose passenger queries.
To improve customer information for passengers, a new Advice Booth has been fitted at the Travel Centre, where “Doctor” Sue Jones now helps passengers with advice and information on every aspect of NCT bus travel, including routes, timetables, frequencies, route diversions and fares.
Sue, who has worked in the Travel Centre for 5 years, is excited about the benefits her new role will bring to passengers, commenting that, “People can be nervous about making a new or unfamiliar journey by bus and being able to spend time to go through all aspects of bus travel with them is a great way to help overcome peoples’ fears and answer any questions they’ve got”.
The NCT Travel Centre is located in the Old Market Square on South Parade and is open 6 days a week:
Mondays 08:30 – 18:00
Tuesdays to Fridays 08:30 – 17:30
Saturdays 08:30 – 15:00
Passengers can also purchase smart cards from the NCT Travel Centre, which can help to reduce passenger travel costs to less than £1 per day and pick up bus timetable leaflets for all NCT services.
