Nottingham’s annual Goose Fair will be held at the Forest Recreation Ground between Wednesday 3 and Saturday 6 October 2007.
There will be no provision for public car parking at the Goose Fair Site, with visitors encouraged to travel to and from the Fair by bus or on the special Park & Ride service from Queens Drive Park and Ride Site.
A special £3 ticket will be available on the Park and Ride service from Queens Drive to subscribers of NCT’s electronic newsletter, E-Rider, with the offer open to new members who join before noon on Friday 28 September 2007.
Queens Drive Park and Ride
NCT will be operating the Queens Drive Park and Ride service this year which is situated on the A453 near Clifton Bridge and is ideal for junctions 24 and 25 of the M1.
The Park and Ride service will be operating at frequent “turn up and go” intervals with low floor buses also available on this service. The service will start running at tea-time on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and from noon on Saturday.

The return cost for all car occupants is £4 and buses will call at a special bus stop on Mount Hooton Road for dropping off and picking up passengers. The Queens Drive Park and Ride Site will be manned for the duration of Goose Fair.
A special £3 ticket is available to members of the E-Rider Club, NCT’s e-newsletter, to travel on the Park and Ride service to Goose Fair. A downloadable ticket will be e-mailed this weekend to all current subscribers and new members who join E-Rider before noon on 28 September 2007.

City Centre Shuttle
For passengers arriving in the City Centre by bus, frequent, normal NCT services will be running to and from the Goose Fair Site (Forest Gate Stop on Mansfield Road) on “turn up and go” intervals.
Low floor buses to Goose Fair depart from:
- Parliament Street – Lime Line services 56, 57, 58, 59 and Purple Line services 87, 88, 89
- Milton Street – Brown Line services 15, 16, 17 from opposite John Lewis
Return buses into the City pick up on Mansfield Road at the Forest Gate and set down passengers in the City Centre, with convenient stops outside the House of Fraser and on South Sherwood Street to allow for ongoing connections. All buses are low floor, with the 17, 58 and 89 wheelchair accessible.

City Centre Shuttle and Normal NCT Routes…
On the main NCT network, normal timetables will be operating with extra buses running at busy times.
For families travelling to the Fair, the NCT Group Rider ticket will be available at £6, which is bought from the driver and allows travel to the Goose Fair for up to 5 people (minimum 1 adult, maximum 2 adults) as well as unlimited bus and tram journeys across the day.
For individual adults, the NCT CityRider ticket at £2.70 covers the cost of a return trip to the Fair, as well as unlimited all day travel on NCT buses and NET. All Easyrider smart cards are also valid.
The 21.45 child ticket restriction will also be removed on Wednesday to Saturday inclusive.
