NCT service plans for Market Square Opening Events

Nottingham City Transport announced to staff today that the Pathfinder bus services to Newark and Southwell were to transfer to NCT’s southern During the next fortnight, as the city celebrates the opening of the Market Square, Nottingham City Transport would like to advise passengers of likely changes and possible disruptions to services as a result of some of these events.

The city centre will be closed for some of the larger events, resulting in the temporary removal of some bus stops, it is also likely that services will be disrupted and will be very busy at times.

Nottingham City Transport have worked closely with the organisers, to ensure minimal disruption and change for passengers. NCT are also hoping to run extra services where possible to accommodate additional demand for buses to and from these events. It is however, inevitable that some services will be affected, particularly during the major events on 24th and 31st March from 6pm and 1st April from 2pm.

NCT advise passengers to contact the Travel Centre for further details and specific information about their service on 0115 950 6070, and to allow extra time to make their journey.
