NCT will be introducing changes to Lime, Purple and Pathfinder services from Sunday 30 March 2008, following passenger and driver feedback.
The main improvements include:
- Passengers in Woodthorpe and Plains Estate will benefit from increased frequencies on Lime line services 56 and 59 which will both be enhanced to operate every 20 minutes on Monday to Saturday daytimes
- The Sunday daytime service on Go2 route 58 to Sherwood, Arnold and Killisick being enhanced from every 30 minutes to every 20 minutes to provide extra capacity due to overcrowding
- A brand new timetable for Pathfinder 100 to Burton Joyce, Lowdham and Southwell to offer a more reliable service to passengers as well as extra peak time and late evening journeys
- Introduction of an extra bus stop at Rise Park , for services 15, 16, 88 and 89 to improve access to the local area for residents
Commenting on the changes, Anthony Carver-Smith NCT Network Brands Champion said, “NCT is regularly reviewing the bus network to take account of passenger comments and we have continued to listen to their feedback to improve the services we offer, particularly in the Arnold area where we're expecting the extra buses to generate extra bus passengers.”

A summary of the changes from Sunday 30 March 2008:
Brown line 15 and 16 : Rise Park – Top Valley – Hucknall Road – City Centre
Following local requests, buses from the City to Rise Park will now also call additionally at the stop on Bestwood Park Drive , outside Rise Park School (RP09).
Lilac line 26: Lowdham – Burton Joyce – Nottingham
As part of wider improvements to the Pathfinder 100 timetable, the 07:51 from Lowdham will be re-timed to depart 8 minutes earlier, arriving in Nottingham City Centre at 08:30. An additional journey will be introduced on schooldays, starting at Carlton-le-Willows School at 15:10 running through to the City Centre.
Orange line 35, 36, 37: Bulwell/Chilwell – QMC – Derby Road – City Centre
Bus stops at the Victoria Centre (on Milton Street ) will be swapped over to reduce congestion. Services 35 and 37 will now use stop “J4”; Go2 service 36 will now use stop “J3”.
Lime line 56: Arnold – Plains Estate – Sherwood – City Centre
A revised timetable is introduced on all days on Lime line 56 will be increased to operate every 20 minutes during Monday to Saturday daytimes, giving extra buses to Woodthorpe and Plains Estate.
Lime line 57: Arnold – Sherwood – City Centre
Service withdrawn, with route 59 enhanced to every 20 minutes to continue providing a similar level of service for the majority of the route.
Lime Go2 58: Arnold – Sherwood – City Centre
A revised timetable is introduced on all days, with journey times reduced following the opening of bus lanes along Mansfield Road . Go2 58 will continue to operate every 10 minutes or better during Monday to Saturday daytimes, with modern, low floor accessible buses.
On Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays, the daytime timetable will be increased to every 20 minutes.
Lime line 59: Arnold – Sherwood – City Centre
A revised timetable is introduced on all days and Lime line 59 will be increased to operate every 20 minutes during Monday to Saturday daytimes, giving extra buses to Woodthorpe and Arnot Hill Road areas and a more regular service along Rolleston Drive .
Purple line 87: Arnold – Redhill – City Hospital – Sherwood – City Centre
A revised timetable is introduced on all days, but the basic Monday to Saturday daytime service remains every 20 minutes.
Purple line 88: Rise Park – Warren Hill – City Hospital – Sherwood – City Centre
A revised timetable is introduced on all days to better reflect journey times along the route, although the basic 20 minute Monday to Saturday frequency remains unchanged. Most buses from Rise Park will depart 2 minutes earlier. An additional Monday to Saturday evening journey is introduced at 19:45 from City and 20:15 from Rise Park . Following local requests, buses from the City to Rise Park will now also call additionally at the stop on Bestwood Park Drive , outside Rise Park School (RP09).
Purple Go2 89, 89C: Rise Park – Bestwood Pk - City Hospital – Sherwood – City Centre
A revised timetable is introduced on all days to better reflect journey times along the route, although the basic 10 minute or better Monday to Saturday daytime frequency remains unchanged. Most daytime buses will depart Rise Park earlier.
An additional late evening bus from City at 23:30 on Mondays to Saturdays is introduced, following passenger requests. Following local requests, buses from the City to Rise Park will now also call additionally at the stop on Bestwood Park Drive , outside Rise Park School (RP09).
Purple line 89C for Brownlow Drive is withdrawn – Brown line 16C continues to serve this area.
Pathfinder 100: Southwell – Lowdham – Burton Joyce – Nottingham
In preparation for the introduction of brand new buses in the Spring, a completely revised timetable will be introduced on the 100.
The basic 20 minute Monday to Saturday daytime frequency remains unchanged, but extra journeys will be introduced at peak times to provide additional capacity for passengers.
On Mondays to Saturdays, the 22:00 bus from Nottingham to Southwell has been reinstated, following passenger requests, and a later evening bus from Southwell at 22:51 to Burton Joyce will also be introduced.
Due to roadworks on Parliament Street , buses coming into the City Centre will not be able to stop at the Victoria Centre, opposite Boots (stop W3) – alternative stops are outside Antibos or on Queen Street .
Service 190: University of Nottingham – Hyson Green – Basford – City Hospital
On Mondays to Fridays, a revised timetable is introduced before 10:00 and after approx. 16:00 to better reflect traffic conditions along the route.
