From Thursday 28 June 2007 until the end of October 2007, NCT services 23, 23A and 24 will be affected by the closure of Oakdale Road between Middledale Road and Avondale Road to enable a new sewer to be constructed.
- Service 23 will operate the normal route from the City to Oakdale Road then turn left on to Parkdale Road, right Dovedale Road and right back onto Oakdale Road to terminate at bus stop BF14. The bus will observe all stops along Parkdale Road.
- Service 23A will operate the normal route to Oakdale Road , turning right onto Rosedale Road and following the 24 route to Greenwood Road terminus, before continuing along Douglas Avenue to revert the normal route to Greenhill Road.
- Service 24 will operate the normal route to/from Greenwood Road Terminus. Occasional Monday-Friday journeys will extend to Greenhill Road.
As a result of this closure, services 23 and 24 will be unable to operate a through-facility because they are terminating in different places. There are no changes to the times for buses from the City Centre, but buses from Bakersfield to the City will be affected on the 23 and 24 route. Temporary timetables for this closure are shown below.

Please note: Mondays to Fridays only: The 1110 and 1425 departures from King Street in the City have been scheduled to continue beyond Greenwood Road along Douglas Avenue and Oakdale Road through to Onchan Drive (service 23A terminal point).
Free Shuttle Bus Service - Available between Oakdale Road and Greenwood Road for the duration of the roadworks. This service is operated on behalf of Severn Trent Water Authority on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, every 30 minutes from approx. 9.30 am until approx. 4.30 pm. |
