Code of Conduct for Travel on the buses |
- Wait sensibly for your bus to arrive and get on one at a time.
- Do not push - be patient with people who are slower than you.
- Always have your pass or the correct fare ready before you get on.
- Keep your ticket - an inspector might get on and ask to see it and your ticket is your insurance receipt (in case you fall over!)
- Find a seat and travel sitting down if at all possible - it's safer! .....….but give up your seat if an elderly or disabled person needs it.
- Respect the emergency equipment (door/escape equipment).
- Let the driver concentrate on driving the bus safely.
- Do not distract him/her by immature behaviour.
- Ring the bell only once when you wish to get off.
- Leave the bus in the condition that you would like to find it.
- Take your litter with you.
- Drivers always remember when someone gets off and says 'Thank You!'
- Enjoy your bus journey and let the driver and other passengers
enjoy theirs as well
The key words are 'RESPECT' and 'SAFETY'.
THANK YOU
