We currently have vacancies for PCV Midi bus Drivers based at our Trent Bridge Garage.

To drive the Company's buses on local bus services, works and contract services to ensure passengers' safety and comfort, to collect passengers' fares and to check the validity of travel cards and passes. To encourage use of the Company's services and to project a positive image of the Company.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure safety and conveyance and comfort of passengers and their property (including the safe keeping of lost property)
• Maintain service scheduled and to report vehicle defects and accidents promptly
• To maintain a smart appearance and wear company uniform and badges in accordance with instructions whilst at work

Person Specification
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following key competencies:

• Clean PCV driving licence
• Previous experience of working with the general public
• Excellent customer focus
• Punctuality and good timekeeping
• An understanding and helpful nature
• Good health, ability to attend work on a regular and punctual basis
• Ability to apply rules using common sense as the situation dictates

Permanent shifts - 39 hours over five days from seven, Sunday to Saturday so rest days will be variable and weekend working a regularly required. Midi bus drivers are paid £7.61 per hour, during the training period. After confirmation of successful completion of training hourly rate is increased to £8.38 per hour .
