Nottingham City Transport launches special Mothering Sunday bus driving experience around Langar airfield…but ssshh…Mum’s the word!

It’s Mothering Sunday on Sunday 6th March, and your mum is the most special person in the world, right? The usual flowers and chocolates would no doubt be appreciated, but perhaps you’re keen to give her something different this year? Something exciting and unique?!

How about you give her the gift of….DRIVING A NOTTINGHAM CITY TRANSPORT DOUBLE DECKER BUS AROUND LANGAR AIRFIELD?!Mother's Day InfoNCT is launching this exclusive competition, offering 5 lucky local mums the chance of a special off-road experience – putting a double-decker bus through its paces at Langar airfield!

On Sunday 6th March, the mums will be asked to travel to a location within the city, where they’ll be picked up by bus (of course) and taken to Langar. Once there, instructed by Nottingham City Transport’s award-winning training team, they’ll get to spend the morning driving and manoeuvring  a double-decker bus around the safe and vast expanse of the airfield…maybe even competing against the other mums in a bit of friendly rivalry!

“Our city is home to so many mums who deserve a very special treat on Mothers’ Day, so we thought it was a great chance to offer a truly one-of-a-kind experience!” says Nottingham City Transport Marketing Manager, Anthony Carver-Smith. “We’re inviting people to email us at [email protected] and give us their reason why their mums deserve to drive a Nottingham City Transport bus around the airfield. The mums don’t need to hold a driver’s licence, but we would like to keep it a secret until they arrive at Langar on the day….so Mum’s the word!”

Would you like to treat your mum to a surprise off-road bus driving experience for Mothers’ Day?! Email [email protected] with the reasons why your mum deserves it before the end of 26th February 2016!

Winners will be notified on 27th February to make arrangements for their special experience.
