Changes from 29 January

Changes to services from Sunday 29 January 2017

The main changes affect our Clifton services, as we take into account the change in passenger use on these buses since the tram started operating in August 2015. Further details are here.

New Navy 49 is introduced to replace most of the Citylink 1 service for Queen’s Drive, Electric Avenue and Boots Factory. The Park & Ride element of Citylink 1 and all of Citylink 2 will no longer be operated by NCT and will transfer to Nottingham Community Transport with electric buses.

We’re also adjusting some services at peak times to take account of increased traffic congestion along these routes and address reliability issues.

South Notts 1

Revised and Improved timetable, with Monday to Saturday daytime buses increased to run up to every 20 minutes through to East Leake and Loughborough.

The evening timetable is also improved on all days, with more buses for East Leake and Loughborough, filling in the current gap between 21:00 and midnight. The last bus from Loughborough to Nottingham will also be later at 23:05 on Mondays to Saturdays and 22:05 on Sundays.

Navy 2

Due to a significant drop in usage since the tram started running, Navy 2 is no longer covering its running costs and is commercially unviable to continue. Navy 2 will be replaced by changes to Navy 3 (Farnborough Road, Central College) and the City Council Local Link L64 service (Summerwood Lane).

Navy 3

Revised and Improved timetable, with Monday to Saturday daytime buses increased to run up to every 20 minutes. In the evenings, buses will now run every 30 minutes until approx. 20:00 and all Sunday buses will be extended from Ruddington through to Clifton.

In Clifton, there is a revised route between The Fairham PH and The Peacock PH, with buses re-routed along Farnborough Road (passing Central College and Farnborough Academy) and Southchurch Drive instead of along Green Lane East.

This re-route provides improved access to the main shopping, leisure and health facilities in Clifton Centre, with buses stopping at the main bus stop on Southchurch Drive.

Buses will also be extended beyond the current Green Lane (Dalehead Road) terminus to Hartness Road, which will be served 7 days a week.
