Shoppers and diners in Nottingham City Centre can now enjoy a new sweep of exclusive offers and discounts with the MORE Nottingham scheme.
Now in its second year, the loyalty scheme is expanding its offering with an updated list of city centre discounts, as well as a new mobile phone app.
People can take full advantage of a range of deals and vouchers from over 80 Nottingham city centre retail stores, bars, restaurants and cafes if they hold a MORE Nottingham card, which is exclusive to some city centre employees, for those who study in the city or have a Robin Hood Transport or Easy Rider card.
MORE Nottingham was launched by the Nottingham Business Improvement District (BID) last year to support city centre businesses and provide an exclusive range of offers and discounts from shops, restaurants and bars.
For those who enjoy eating and dining out in the city centre, the new list of offers includes exclusive deals such as 10 per cent off all food at Pieminister, Oaks and Cosmo, 20 per cent off the food bill at Belgo Nottingham, The Orange Tree and Bill’s, a £10 lunch deal at Chino Latino, 20 per cent off the main menu at Soulville Steakhouse, 50 per cent off at Southbank and 15 per cent discount at Slug and Lettuce and Gourmet Burger Kitchen.
If you’re more into treating yourself to a tasty cocktail after work, there’s also a mix of drinks offers including two for one classic cocktails at Rub Smokehouse, 15 per cent off craft beer at Bunkers Hill, 10 per cent off drinks at Last Chance Saloon, free wine with two main courses at Carluccio’s, a wine and dine deal for £29 at Fothergill’s and complimentary house wine with lunch at Hart’s Hotel and Restaurant.
When it comes to shopping, MORE Nottingham members can benefit from deals including 10 per cent off at Cath Kidston, Ted Baker, Dr Martens, Cope Jewellers, Jack Wills, JoJo Maman Bebe, Pretty Green and Element/Two Seasons.
To be eligible for the scheme, people need to have a Nottingham City Transport Easy Rider card, a student card or a MORE Nottingham card which is available exclusively to a number of city centre businesses and their employees – those that are members of the Nottingham BID.
It is also available to use by those who hold a Robin Hood card. These are available to purchase by simply heading to a dedicated Robin Hood card green machine, located at transport hotspots around the city centre.
The scheme is designed to encourage students, workers and the general public to shop in the city centre and enjoy the city as opposed to shopping online. It also aims to persuade people to spend in Nottingham rather than elsewhere, thereby supporting local businesses and having a positive effect on the local economy.
To mark its second year, a MORE Nottingham app has been developed which enables users to search and discover offers and discounts on the go around the city. This is free to download on both Apple and Android devices.
Nicola Tidy, a director of the Nottingham BID, said: “The new app will make it even easier to take advantage of all the great offers and discounts from our members and it’s great to see so many businesses getting involved with the MORE Nottingham. The scheme is a positive way of encouraging people to spend money within the city centre, and it also benefits them by offering money off their purchases.”
Portfolio Holder for Business, Education and Skills, Nottingham City Councillor Sam Webster, said: “We welcome any scheme that encourages people to come into the city to enjoy the many varied food, drink and retail outlets we have on offer. MORE Nottingham is a great idea which proved popular in its first year and we hope, especially with the new app, that even more people and businesses will benefit from the scheme.”
Anthony Carver-Smith, NCT Marketing Manager said, “MORE Nottingham has proven to be very popular with our customers and NCT are delighted to support the scheme for another year. The wide range of fantastic discounts at many city centre outlets offers additional value to our Easyrider customers, who also enjoy great value unlimited NCT bus travel around Nottingham.”
