Buses to Splendour

Nottingham’s favourite family festival returns to the beautiful setting of Wollaton Park on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th July 2025.

We recommend travelling to the festival via public transport as the most environmentally friendly travel option to get to and from the Splendour festival!

Buses to and from Wollaton Park

Nottingham City Transport will be providing a frequent service between the city centre and Wollaton Park and back, making it the easiest way to get to and from the festival.

To reach the Festival, use Pink 30 from the City Centre, with buses picking up at Milton Street alongside the Victoria Centre. Pink 30 will drop you off at the main Wollaton Road entrance of Wollaton Park, with some buses at the busiest times dropping you off inside Wollaton Park.

Towards the end of Splendour, starting from 21:00, Pink 30 will operate from inside Wollaton Park from a dedicated event bus stop near the Wollaton Road entrances with marshalled queue lanes with high-capacity services direct to the city centre, dropping off on Talbot Street, South Sherwood Street and Victoria Centre.

Due to the roadworks on Derby Road this year, you cannot reach Splendour by bus using Orange Line buses to the Wollaton Park Gates on Derby Road. These stops are closed and your nearest alternative stops will be at the QMC.  

Fares

Pay with contactless on the bus, with a single fare costing £3 and all day travel costing £5.50. Simply tap your contactless card / device on the card reader when you get on the bus. There’s no need to ask for a ticket, the system will charge you the right fare based on how many journeys you make that day.

If you’re travelling with others, a Grouprider at £9 will be the best ticket for you. This ticket covers up to 5 people (min 1 adult, max 2 adults) and allows unlimited all day travel on every NCT bus for the day. To buy this ticket with contactless, ask the driver for a Grouprider before presenting your card / device to the reader. 

You can also buy tickets in advance using the NCTX Buses App – a handy option if you prefer to sort your travel before you board. Cash is also accepted, exact fare only.
