Nottingham City Transport has expanded its network from today, 3 September 2023, to serve the new Chase Farm development in Gedling.

Chase Farm is now served by an extension of NCT’s Sky Blue 45 service, providing a 10 minute Monday to Saturday daytime service to Mapperley and the City Centre.

Sunday daytime buses operate every 20 minutes, with a half hourly service every night and last buses back from the City at midnight on Mondays to Saturdays.

Anthony Carver-Smith, NCT Head of Marketing said, “We are delighted to bring a bus service to the new Chase Farm development, providing a frequent service to both Mapperley and Nottingham with single fares just £2 as NCT continues to participate in the government’s fare cap scheme until the end of October”.

Sky Blue 45 operates with NCT’s low emission bio-gas double deck buses, which come with free Wi-Fi and on board USB charging too.

NCT has been supported by Nottinghamshire County Council, who have installed new bus stops in the Gedling area for the extended route to Chase Farm and the new route for Red 44/A buses in the area.

Red 44/A buses now use Shelford Road and Arnold Lane in both directions, with a new bus stop on Arnold Lane to replace a former stop on Besecar Avenue towards the City.
