Nottingham City Council will soon be carrying out essential planned carriageway resurfacing work on Hucknall Road to ensure it remains safe for all road users.
The work will be taking place from the junction of Arnold Road to the junction of Gala Way and will begin on Monday 18 June. The work is expected to take around 10 days to complete, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm Monday to Friday.
During the work, Hucknall Road (highlighted red in the map) will be closed to through traffic.
Brown 17 will be diverted and displaced traffic is likely to delay Brown 15, 16; Yellow 68, 69, 70, 71 and Turquoise 79, 79A, so please allow extra time for any journeys.
- Brown 17 towards Bulwell will follow the normal to the City Hospital. After departing the City Hospital stop, buses will continue along Hucknall Road then left Heathfield Road, left Arnold Road, right Waterford Street, right Vernon Road, continuing Highbury Road, right Piccadilly, left St Alban’s Road to resume normal route.
- Brown 17 towards City will follow the normal route to St Alban’s Road, then right Piccadilly, left Highbury Road, continuing Vernon Road, left Waterford Street, left Arnold Road, right Hucknall Road to resume normal route.
The following stops will not be served by Brown 17 during the weekday closures:
- Heathfield Road (Towards Bulwell only)
- Arnold Road (Towards Bulwell only)
- Riber Crescent
- Gorse Court
- Kersall Drive
