Closure of Sneinton Dale

Contractors Thomas Bow City Asphalt working on behalf of Nottingham City Council are to carry out resurfacing works which will require sections of Sneinton Dale to be closed to all through traffic.

The contractors have advised that no work is taking place on Monday 14th August and as such Red 43 are normal route.

From Monday 14th August 2017 Tuesday 15th August until Wednesday 23rd August 2017 (from appx 07:30 until appx 16:00 each weekday) our Red 43 will use the following alternative routes:

  • Red 43 towards Bakersfield, journeys leaving the City from 07:35 to 15:55 inclusive: Buses will be normal route to Southwell Road. At the junction with Sneinton Road buses will carry straight on along Carlton Road, turning right onto Cardale Road and to normal route at the roundabout with Oakdale Road.
  • Red 43 towards City, journeys leaving Harrogate Rd/Langdale Rd from 07:32 to 15:52 inclusive: Buses will be normal route up until the roundabout at Oakdale Road. Buses will then turn right onto Cardale Road and left onto Carlton Road to resume normal route at Southwell Road.

The Stops labelled below, both towards and away from the City will not be served during the weekday closure times of 07:30 and 16:00.

  • Cardale Road
  • Skipton Circus
  • Edale Road
  • Sandringham Road
  • Lord Nelson Street
  • Windmill Lane
  • Eyre Street

There will be no working at weekends with Red 43 operating normal route on the 19th and 20th August.

All stops will be observed on the diversionary route. On Cardale Road buses will also stop opposite existing stops normally used by N27.
