City Hospital

Travelling to the City Hospital by bus is easy, with frequent buses running 7 days a week, stopping both on the campus and outside the Hospital on both Edwards Lane and Hucknall Road.

Buses on to Campus

  • Blue Line 40 provides a 7 day a week service around the City Hospital Campus
  • Every 30 minutes during Monday to Saturday daytimes
  • Hourly evening and Sunday daytime buses
  • Audio announcement and a campus map on the bus to help find your department

Buses to Hucknall Road Entrances

  • Brown Line 15, 16, 17 stop outside the Campus on Hucknall Road
  • Buses run every 3-4 minutes on Monday to Saturday daytimes
  • Evening and Sunday buses run at least every 10 minutes
  • Catch Brown Line buses from Milton Street, outside Little Waitrose
  • Audio announcement on the 15 and 16 bus to help find your department

Buses to Edwards Lane Entrances

  • Purple Line 87, 88, 89 stop outside the Campus on Edwards Lane, near Gates 4 and 5
  • Buses run every 3-4 minutes on Monday to Saturday daytimes
  • Evening and Sunday buses run at least every 15 minutes
  • Catch Brown Line buses from Parliament Street

Arriving by Train?

If you’re arriving in Nottingham by train, catch any Green Line bus 5-11 on Carrington Street and alight at Victoria Centre. The Purple Line buses can be caught a little further down Parliament Street on the opposite side of the road and the Brown Line buses a short walk up Milton Street.

A £3.50 all day ticket for an adult covers the cost of all journeys from the Station through to the Hospital and back.

The 53 also passes near the City Hospital and runs between Arnold and Clifton along the Ring Road, providing connections with other NCT services at several places:
