Weekend closure of Nuthall Road

9th - 10th Aug 2025

Nuthall Road will be closed at its junction of Melbourne Road during the daytime on Saturday 9th August and Sunday 10th August inclusive.

Between 08:00 - 17:00 on each day, Turquoise 78 and 79/A will have to divert as follows:

Turquoise 78 towards Strelley. Buses will follow their normal route to Bobber's Mill Bridge then divert left Aspley Lane, right Melbourne Road and left left into Hilcot Drive to resume normal route

Turquoise 78 towards City. Buses will be normal route to the end of Hilcot Drive, buses will then turn right onto Melbourne Road, left onto Aspley Lane and right onto Bobber's Mill Bridge and normal route.

Turquoise 79/A towards Bulwell and Arnold. Buses will follow their normal route to Bobber's Mill Bridge then divert left Aspley Lane, right Broxtowe Lane and onto Bells Lane and normal route.

Turquoise 79/A towards City will be normal route, but we expect delays across the routes throughout.

Upper Parliament Street

Due to a collapsed water pipe under Upper Parliament Street, Pink and Turquoise Lines, plus NightBus N4 are diverting via Market Street, Angel Row and Mount Street.

Please catch Pink 28 and 30 on Angel Row (stop A3) and Turquoise Line 77/C, 78, 79/A/B on Mount Street stop X1) or the Cathedral. Please catch N4 on Beastmarket Hill.

NightBus N4 to City will follow normal route to the top of Maid Marian Way then continue Derby Road to turn at Canning Circus and return along Talbot Street to reach NTU City Campus.

Severe delays are expected, particularly at peak times and early evening.
