Nottingham City Transport Update on CT4N Replacement Services
Today

We’re pleased to announce further changes to our network, to replace services and serve parts of Nottingham previously catered by CT4N.
These changes will begin on Tuesday 1st September 2026.
Service 18, 18A, 18B, 18X
The full 18, 18A, 18B and 18X timetable will be introduced, which will see the:
- Monday to Saturday daytime frequency to Beeston Rylands doubled to every 30 minutes
- 18A between Wollaton, Bramcote and Beeston reinstated
- Weekday commuter service 18X between Stapleford and Nottingham direct along the A52 resuming
- Early morning bus from Stapleford at 05:18 to Nottingham reinstated
We’re following exactly the same route on the 18A and 18X as CT4N did. The timetable is broadly similar to the previous CT4N timetable, but please check carefully as there have been some minor adjustments to times.
With the service now formally registered, all fares and tickets will apply from the same date.
We look forward to welcoming customers on to the 18 group of services as they become part of the NCT network.

Turquoise 78
Following discussions with the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA), we’re extending our Turquoise 78 to Nottingham Business Park and Assarts Farm to replace the former Local Link L2 in this area.
A new EMCCA contracted service will replace other parts of the L2 route.
The 78 will be introduced in two phases, starting with our introductory timetable on Tuesday 1st September, which will see buses run generally every hour on Monday to Saturday daytimes.
Turquoise 78 will follow the same route as the former L2 between Assarts Farm and Woodhouse Way / Strelley Road crossroads, but will then use Strelley Road and Moor Road to join its existing route at Flamsteed Road.
Connections to our Orange 35 bus on Strelley Road, near The Rose PH, are available for journeys through to QMC.
Assarts Farm and Nottingham Business Park fall within the NCT City Zone boundary, with all standard tickets and passes accepted.
From Monday 28th September 2026, the full Turquoise 78 timetable will begin, which will see:
- Assarts Farm and Nottingham Business Park served every 30 minutes on Monday to Saturday daytimes
- New links from Assarts Farm and Nottingham Business Park to Phoenix Park, for connections to the tram
- A Monday to Saturday daytime shopping link to Bulwell Centre
- An earlier bus from Nottingham to Nottingham Business Park
The timetable and route map for the full 78 will be available soon.
