Concessionary Passes

Older people and people with a qualifying disability can apply for a concessionary bus pass under the National Concessionary Scheme.

To apply for a concessionary bus pass, you need to contact your local council. If you live on our network, this will most likely be Nottingham City Council, Nottinghamshire County Council or Leicestershire County Council.

On our buses, please place your concessionary bus pass on the green card reader near the driver’s cab and wait for the reader to show a green light.

All English council issued Concessionary passes can be used on our buses as follows:

• Weekdays: between 09:30 and 23:00 inclusive - except Nottingham City Council Mobility passes which can be used before 09:30 and after 23:00, but not on any "N" NightBus service
• Saturday early morning: between 00:00 and 01:00 on ‘midnight’ departures from the City Centre, but not on any “N” NightBus service
• Saturdays*, Sundays and Bank Holidays: between 04:30 and 01:00, but not on any “N” NightBus service

* At Christmas, where a Saturday timetable usually applies on weekdays, passes are valid as per normal weekday rules
