Derby Road A52 Closure - Updated

2 weeks ago Fri 27th Jun 2025

National Highways have been undertaking major carriageway reconstruction work on the A52 Derby Road between QMC and Priory roundabouts since the end of May 2025.

These works require Orange Line buses to divert on journeys away from the City Centre. There will be delays on Orange Line services and on Pink 28, 30; Navy 48/X, 49/A/B/X and Grey 53, 54 as motorists find alternative ways around the closure.

  • From 22nd June, the Wollaton Park Gates and Lenton Hall stops on Derby Road towards City will be closed to improve the flow of traffic along Derby Road

We are currently looking at options to improve the reliability of Ring Road services 53, 54 which are being significantly affected by the congestion in the QMC and Dunkirk areas.  We'll provide further information on this at a later date.
