From 1 February, Pathfinder 90 joins the Nottingham City Transport network, opening up new opportunities to explore Nottinghamshire by bus.
Running between Nottingham City Centre and Newark, via Radcliffe-on-Trent, Bingham and Farndon, Pathfinder 90 offers great links for work, education and shopping – as well as easy access to a wide range of attractions, walks and days out.
With February half-term just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to plan a day out or short adventure by bus. Whether you’re looking for family-friendly activities, riverside walks, cultural attractions or somewhere new to explore, Pathfinder 90 makes it simple to get there without the car. Our £13 Network Grouprider ticket offers unlimited all-day travel across all NCT services in the City Zone and Outer Zone — including Pathfinder 90 — for up to five people (min one adult, max two), making it great value for families and groups.
Things to do in Newark

Newark Castle
Bus stop: Newark Bus Station (5‑minute walk)
Set beside the River Trent, Newark Castle is an atmospheric Norman ruin with a fascinating history. Visitors can explore the atmospheric ruins, learn about its role in medieval England and the English Civil War, and enjoy peaceful walks along the River Trent and through the nearby gardens.
Castle Barge
Bus stop: Newark Bus Station (5‑minute walk)
Moored by Town Wharf under the shadow of Newark Castle, the Castle Barge is a unique floating pub with plenty of character. Palace Theatre

Opened in 1920, the Grade II‑listed Palace Theatre is a striking Neo‑Byzantine building and a key cultural venue in Newark. Times
Pathfinder 90 will be running seven days a week, with buses:
- Hourly Monday to Saturday daytimes
- Two hourly Sunday daytime
- Two hourly Monday to Saturday evening, with the last bus back from Nottingham at 22:30 on Saturdays
