NCT IT Issues

The NCT IT system was attacked earlier this week.

Our IT Team were notified and immediately arrived on site to switch off the network to minimise the impact on our systems and servers.

Many of our systems and databases are externally hosted using accredited and secure third party providers and for this reason, we believe at this stage that there has been no access to personal data.

An assessment is underway on the impact of this attack and we have an external cyber security team supporting us in this work.

NCT bus services continue to operate as advertised, but there may be intermittent disruption as the systems which are used as part of our operation are currently unavailable.

We recognise that this causes great inconvenience to our customers and employees and we thank everyone for your patience and understanding whilst we work through these issues.

NCT has no access to emails and customers will need to call 0115 950 60 70 or use NCT's social media channels to make contact - Facebook or Twitter.

NCT has reported this issue to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) and a further update will be provided in due course.
