Oakwood Academy is served by direct buses from Bulwell and Arnold on Turquoise 79 and from Bestwood Park and Sherwood on Purple Line.
In the morning, pupils should use Purple 89A which departs City at 07:50, calling at Sherwood at 08:00, City Hospital at 08:05 and Elmbridge Shops on Beckhampton Road at 08:10 before operating along Bewcastle Road towards Rise Park.
