Robin Hood Marathon 2026

The Robin Hood Half Marathon is taking place on Sunday 27th September, affecting Navy, Green, Pink and Orange Line services.

Some services will be diverted, with Pink 30 and Orange 34 suspended until the early afternoon. Buses on diversion will observe all stops. Timings shown are approximate and diversions may begin and end earlier or later than advertised. 

  • Stops outside Nottingham Station will not be served
  • QMC will not be served between approx, 08:30 and 11:45
  • The Meadows will not be served until approx. 13:30
  • All services will experience delays

Navy 1:

From the first bus until approx. 13:30:

  • Buses to City will follow their normal route to Trent Bridge (Victoria Embankment stop is closed) and then continue along London Road to the BBC Island, continuing along Bellar Gate, Cranbrook Street, Parliament Street (full length), Maid Marian Way, Friar Lane to Beastmarket Hill.
  • Buses towards Clifton will follow their normal route to Broadmarsh Canal Street, then continue Canal Street, right London Road to resume normal route from Trent Bridge.

Between 09:20 and 10:20, London Road is closed in both directions and buses will take the following alternative route:

  • Buses to City will follow their normal route to County Hall then right Radcliffe Road, left Lady Bay Bridge, right Meadow Lane, left Manvers Street, left Southwell Road, right Lower Parliament Street, left Hockley, right Cranbrook Street to the Victoria Centre area, continuing along Parliament Street, left Maid Marian Way, left Friar Lane to Beastmarket Hill.
  • Buses towards Clifton will follow their normal route to Broadmarsh Canal Street, then continue Canal Street, Fisher Gate, Pennyfoot Street, right Manvers Street to Lady Bay Retail Park, right Meadow Lane, left Lady Bay Bridge, continue Radcliffe Road, right Abbey Road, right Davies Road, right Gordon Road, Central Avenue, Bridgford Road to the Cricket Ground, left Loughborough Road to resume normal route.

Green 5, 6, 7, 8, 9/B, 10/C, 11/C, 12E and Pathfinder 90

From first bus until approx. 13:30:

  • Buses to City will operate normal route to Trent Bridge then continue on London Road (Victoria Embankment stop is closed), left Canal Street, right Middle Hill to normal route on Fletcher Gate & George Street.
  • Buses from City will depart Victoria Centre and operate via normal route to Canal Street, then continue via Canal Street, right on London Road to resume normal route from Trent Bridge.

Between 9:20 and 10:20, London Road is closed in both directions and buses will take the following alternative route:

  • Buses to City will operate normal route to Loughborough Road (just before Trent Bridge) then turn right Radcliffe Road, left Lady Bay Bridge, right Meadow Lane, Manvers Street, Southwell Road, Lower Parliament Street, Hockley, Cranbrook Street to terminate at Victoria Centre as normal.
  • Buses from City will depart Victoria Centre and operate normal route to Canal Street. Continue on Canal Street, then at BBC Island continue straight on & take immediate right Fisher Gate, continue on Pennyfoot Street, right Manvers Street towards Lady Bay Retail Park, right Meadow Lane, left Lady Bay Bridge and continue through the lights on to Radcliffe Road and then:
    • Green 5-10 will continue along Radcliffe Road, then turn right Abbey Road:
      • Green 5 will turn left Davies Road to resume normal route
      • Green 6, 7, 8, 9/B will turn right Davies Road to resume normal route from West Bridgford Town Centre via Gordon Road or Rectory Road
      • Green 10/C will turn right Davies Road, right Gordon Road, continue on Central Avenue, continue on Bridgford Road, left A60 Loughborough Road to resume normal route.
    • Green 11/C will turn left onto Trent Boulevard to resume normal route
    • Green 12E & Pathfinder 90 will continue along Radcliffe Road to resume normal route (Green 12/C along Ambleside & Pathfinder 90 to Gamston Lock and A52)

Pink 28:

From 08:30 until 13:30

  • Buses to City will follow their normal route throughout
  • Buses to Bilborough will follow their normal route to Canning Circus then right Alfreton Road, left Aspley Lane, left Western Boulevard, right Beechdale Road to normal route

Pink 30:

There is no suitable diversion route and the service is suspended until early afternoon. The first buses will be:

  • From Wollaton Vale: 13:39
  • From City, Victoria Centre: 13:10

Orange 34:

There is no suitable diversion route and the service is suspended until early afternoon. The first buses will be:

  • From University Park, Beeston Lane: 13:13
  • From Broadmarsh Canal Street: 12:41

Orange 35/A/B and 36:

There will be a limited service to the QMC throughout the morning.

The following early buses will operate their normal route, passing QMC:

  • Orange 35 from Bulwell at 06:12, 07:12
  • Orange 35 from City at 06:30, 07:00, 08:00
  • Orange 36 from Chilwell at 05:47, 06:47, 07:17
  • Orange 36 from City at 06:30, 07:30, 08:00

Buses will then divert until approx.11:45, with no stops near QMC:

  • Orange 35 to City will operate normal route as far as Balloon Wood Crossroads, then left Trowell Road, left Glaisdale Drive, right Wigman Road, continue Hollington Road, continue Beechdale Road, right Western Boulevard, left Ilkeston Road, continue to Canning Circus to resume normal route into the City.
  • Orange 35/A/B to Wollaton Vale and Bulwell will operate normal route as far as Cathedral, then at Canning Circus, bear right Alfreton Road, left Aspley Lane, left Western Boulevard, right Beechdale Road, continue Hollington Road, continue Wigman Road, left Glaisdale Drive, right Trowell Road, right at Balloon Wood Crossroads onto Bilborough Road to resume normal route. 
  • Orange 36 to City will operate normal route as far as Priory Island, then continue straight over Priory Island onto Wollaton Vale. Turn right onto Trowel Road, left Glaisdale Drive, right Wigman Road, continue Hollington Road, continue Beechdale Road, right Western Boulevard, left Ilkeston Road, continue to Canning Circus then resume normal route into the City. 
  • Orange 36 to Chilwell will operate normal route as far as Cathedral, then at Canning Circus, bear right Alfreton Road, left Aspley Lane, left Western Boulevard, right Beechdale Road, continue Hollington Road, continue Wigman Road, left Glaisdale Drive, right Trowell Road, left Wollaton Vale, straight over Priory Island to resume normal route.

From approx. 11:45 until approx 13:30, buses will change to this diversion, with the University North Entrance stop available as an alternative for QMC:

  • Orange 35 and 36 to City will operate normal route as far as QMC Island, then turn left Middleton Boulevard, right Wollaton Road, continue Ilkeston Road, through Canning Circus to resume normal route into the City
  • Orange 35 to Bulwell and Orange 36 to Chilwell will operate normal route as far as Cathedral, then at Canning Circus, bear right Ilkeston Road, continue Wollaton Road, left at Crown Island onto Middleton Boulevard. Take the slip road up to QMC Island then turn right onto A52 Derby Road to resume normal route.

Navy 48/A:

From first bus until approx. 13:30

  • Buses to City will follow their normal route to Clifton Bridge South and then divert via left Wilford Lane, left Loughborough Road, over Trent Bridge (Victoria Embankment stop is closed), continuing along London Road to the BBC Island, Bellar Gate, Cranbrook Street, Parliament Street (full length), Maid Marian Way, Friar Lane to Beastmarket Hill.
  • Buses towards Clifton will follow their normal route to Broadmarsh Canal Street, then continue Canal Street, right London Road, over Trent Bridge, Loughborough Road, right Wilford Lane (full length) to resume normal route from Clifton Bridge South.
