  • Overnight Closure of Clifton Lane

    15th - 23rd Jul 2025

    Overnight works are taking place on Clifton Lane near Lark Hill.

    Clifton Lane will be closed between Farnborough Road and Nobel Road junctions on weekdays between Tuesday 15th July 2025 and Tuesday 22nd July inclusive (new start time of 20:00 – 06:00 each night).

    During these works, if you are travelling to/from Southchurch Drive (Peacock to Holy Trinity) or Farnborough Road (Holy Trinity to Clifton Pastures) please use South Notts 1 buses (not 1A) rather than Navy 48/X.

    Navy 1, 48/X and N4 and Grey 53 will divert as follows:

    South Notts 1 towards Gotham will follow normal route to NTU Clifton Campus then divert left Green Lane, right Southchurch Drive to Holy Trinity, right Farnborough Road to Clifton Pastures then left Clifton Lane to normal route.

    Navy 1A to Clifton departing Nottingham at 22:30 will follow its normal route.

    South Notts 1 to Nottingham will follow normal route to Clifton Pastures then divert right Farnborough Road to Holy Trinity, left Southchurch Drive, left Green Lane, right Clifton Lane to resume normal route from outside NTU Clifton Campus. The journey from Clifton, The Dip at 23:01 to Nottingham will follow its normal route.

    Navy 48/X to Clifton will follow normal route to Southchurch Drive (Clifton Shops) then divert right Green Lane, left Clifton Lane to Crusader roundabout, left Clifton Lane, second right Nobel Road to the terminus.

    Navy 48/X to City will follow normal route to the end of Nobel Road then divert left Clifton Lane to Crusader roundabout, right Clifton Lane (passing McDonalds/Tesco), right Green Lane, left Southchurch Drive to resume normal route.

    Grey 53 to Arnold departing Clifton at 05:13 and 05:43 will follow normal route to the end of Hartness Road, then divert left Clifton Lane (passing McDonalds/Tesco), right Green Lane, left Southchurch Drive to resume normal route.

    Navy N4 to Clifton Campus will follow normal route to Southchurch Drive (Clifton Shops) then divert right Green Lane, right Clifton Lane to resume normal route from outside NTU Clifton Campus.
