Day Ticket Price Changes from 21st June 2026
Yesterday

Following increases to season ticket prices in March, we now need to increase the price of some of our day tickets.
This is the first increase to day ticket prices for almost fifteen months and will begin on Sunday 21st June 2026.
Alongside our network-wide changes from the same date, these new prices help balance the books and cover the costs of providing the bus network.
Like your personal bills and expenses, NCT is paying more now for most items than it did last year and that was before the spike in fuel and energy prices caused by recent global events. We’re largely protected from this spike (for now) because of fixed price deals we negotiated beforehand, but the cost of insurance, business taxation, bus parts and our people have increased.
New prices from 21st June 2026 across all payment methods are:
- Adult City Zone - £5.70
- Adult Evening Return Travel - £4.00 with our new £2 evening single ticket valid after 19:00 daily
- Under 19 City Zone - £3.70
- Grouprider - £10.00
- Network Grouprider - £15.00
- Dog Rover - £1.50
Single fares remain unchanged as part of the National Fare Cap Scheme. Season ticket and Robin Hood prices were increased in March 2026 and are not included in this fare review.
We've also been notified about changes to Newark All Rounder prices from the same date:
- Adult Day - £5.30
- Under 22 Day - £4.20
- Adult Week - £21.00
- Under 22 Week - £16.80
