It's the Nottingham Monopoly 'Big Reveal'!
The ‘Big Reveal’ and launch of a brand-new Nottingham version of the world’s most popular board game took place on 28 November 2025 in the city centre.
Just in time for Christmas!
The board sees Nottingham A-List landmarks and organisations getting to star on their very own bit of MONOPOLY prime real estate.
Amongst those featuring are Old Market Square, both football stadia, the Goose Fair, Nottingham Castle and Victoria Centre, where this morning’s official launch took place.
Winning Moves UK - an official MONOPOLY maker - have produced the brand-new MONOPOLY: Nottingham Edition board game, under license from Hasbro, a leading games, IP and toy company. Winning Moves UK produces official MONOPOLY games based on places all over the world, including in recent years Palm Beach, Dubai, Phuket, and The Hamptons.
When it was announced earlier this year that Nottingham is getting the full MONOPOLY works – 24 years after a first Nottingham version of MONOPOLY – the public was invited to send in suggestions. “We’ve been wonderfully spoilt for choice putting this board together,” says John Keen-Tomlinson, Partnership Manager at Winning Moves UK. “We would like thank everyone who sent in suggestions during our public consultation period”.
The board is themed in sets from heritage to entertainment, shopping to sports – plus lots more, all to reflect the vibrancy of Nottingham.
Three charities also get to feature on their very own Community Chest spaces in the game. They are: When You Wish Upon a Star, Emmanuel House and Brinsley Animal Rescue.
Other twists in this edition see the Chance and Community Chest cards customised, with – ouch - one of the bespoke cards docking players MONOPOLY money for “hitting a pothole on Mansfield Road’!
“The board is a celebration of everything Nottingham,” adds Mr Keen-Tomlinson.
The MONOPOLY: Nottingham Edition is available now at Waterstones, TGJones and the Nottingham Tourism Centre – as well as online at Amazon, winningmoves.co.uk and booghe.co.uk
