NCT Bus Services During Tram Strike

There will be no tram services on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th September 2026 due to industrial action.

Nottingham City Transport will be operating its existing timetables across its full network. You can plan your journey here or on the NCTX Buses app.

We will be operating double decks on Navy 48/A to Clifton on both days to provide additional capacity on this service.

If you are heading to Goose Fair, we operate a frequent service to/from the City Centre (Parliament Street and Milton Street) on our Brown, Lime, Yellow and Purple Line services. These buses drop off and pick up on Mansfield Road at Forest Gate. More details here.

If you normally use the tram for Park & Ride to Nottingham City Centre, we operate bus based Park & Ride from two sites on Saturdays. These are at Queens Drive and Racecourse and you can find more details here. Our South Notts 1 and Navy 48/A buses stop near the Clifton South Park and Ride site on Saturdays and Sundays. 

NCT and Robin Hood pre-paid tickets are valid on all of these bus services, but holders of NET tram tickets will have to pay the normal bus fare.

We accept contactless payments, as well as cash (exact fare) and you can also pay using the NCTX Buses app.

With no trams running in Nottingham, Goose Fair and the Robin Hood Marathon on Sunday 27th September, this will lead to additional traffic on the roads and increased demand for our services.
