Introducing Easyrider Purse

Easyrider Purse is a smart card that acts as an electronic purse that you can use to pay for any fare, such as Singles, Day Tickets and Groupriders, across the City Zone and Outer Zone.

It's a convenient, cashless way to pay your bus fare, ideal for those without contactless bank cards or devices and for young people, who you may not want to carry cash. 

Easyrider Purse cards aren't restricted to just one person, the credit on the card can be used to buy tickets for anyone and more than one person at a time.

How Do I Get One?

• On our website and we'll post you the card

How Do I Add More Credit?

Easyrider Purse cards can be topped up in multiples of £5 on our website and in the Travel Centre in the Old Market Square.

How Do I Pay on the Bus with Easyrider Purse?

Have your Easyrider Purse card in your hand when you get on the bus.

Let the driver know you are paying with Easyrider Purse and which tickets you want to buy. You must have enough credit on the Easyrider Purse card to cover all of the fares, you cannot part pay with Easyrider Purse and part with another method.

The driver will select the tickets and when the the card reader prompts you, place your Easyrider Purse card on the reader.

Your tickets will then be issued.

How Do I Know How Much Credit is on my Easyrider Purse Card?

The remaining balance shows on your ticket, when issued.
