Update on NightBus Services

In March 2020, all NightBus services were suspended in response to the COVID pandemic and all of the restrictions that followed.

These services briefly returned in late 2021, but were suspended again in January 2022. In recent times, the busier N4, N26 and N34 have returned, primarily because of the much higher demand they experience.

We have kept the return of the remaining NightBus services under review, but have now taken the decision to withdraw the N6, N27, N28, N58, N77, N68 and N89, rather than continuing to keep them suspended.

The NightBus network struggled to cover its costs for some time before COVID and with the increases in costs we have experienced recently, the prospect of these services even breaking-even is very low. Withdrawing these services allows us to continue focusing on our core network of daytime and evening services, which are used by significantly more people.
