Roadworks - Middleton Boulevard

9th Sep 2026 onwards

The Jubilee Campus named stop on Middleton Boulevard, used by Grey 53, 54, 55 towards Arnold is closed because of roadworks. Please use the previous stop called Hawton Crescent.

Maid Marian Way Demolition Works

9th Sep 2026 onwards

From Wednesday 9th September until the end of November 2026, there will be temporary changes to Maid Marian Way and the roads around it whilst the former NCP car park is taken down and the demolition of the former Nottingham College building begins.

We do not anticipate having to divert any services whilst these works take place, but there will be lane restrictions and temporary traffic lights in use which will cause delays.

The bus stop under the car park, used by Red 45/B toward Rivendell will be closed in late September / early October, with alternative stopping arrangements shared when finalised.

Roadworks - Electric Avenue

8th Sep 2026 onwards

There are roadworks on Electric Avenue, with the bus stop nearest the Retail Park used by buses towards City closed. Please use the next stop further along Electric Avenue as an alternative.

Overnight Closures of Front Street, Arnold

7th - 13th Sep 2026

Front Street, Arnold is to be closed for works. From Monday 7th September until Saturday 12th September, each night between 20:00-06:00 the following temporary arrangements will be in place.

Lilac 25 towards Arnold: Buses will operate normal route to Croft Road, buses will then use Ravenswood Road and Coppice Road, terminating at High Street ASDA. Towards Nottingham, buses will start from High Street ASDA.

Grey 53 towards Arnold: Buses will operate normal route to Croft Road, buses will then use Ravenswood Road and Coppice Road, terminating at High Street ASDA. Towards Clifton, buses will start from High Street ASDA.

Lime 56 towards Arnold. Buses will operate normal route to Ravenswood Road and will then divert via Coppice Road and High Street, terminating at Croft Road. Towards Nottingham, buses will start from Croft Road.

Lime 58 towards Arnold: Buses will operate normal route to Croft Road, diverting via Ravenswood Road and Coppice Road, before continuing onto Church Street to normal route. Towards Nottingham, services will follow their normal route.

Turquoise 79 towards Arnold: Buses will operate normal route to High Street, where they will terminate at High Street ASDA. Towards Nottingham, buses will start from High Street ASDA, continuing onto Croft Road and then diverting via Ravenswood Road and Coppice Road, resuming normal route on Cross Street.

Purple 87 towards Arnold: Buses will operate normal route to High Street, where they will terminate at High Street ASDA. Towards Nottingham, buses will start from High Street ASDA, continuing onto Croft Road and then diverting via Ravenswood Road and Coppice Road, resuming normal route on Church Street.

Stops on Front Street, and Ravenswood Road towards Arnold cannot be served.

Overnight closure of Beeston Road and Uni Boulevard

7th - 18th Sep 2026

Works are taking place on Beeston Road and a section of University Boulevard that will require diversions to service 18, Orange 34C and hopper 901.

Each weeknight from Monday 7th Sept until Thursday 17th Sept (19:00-06:00) Services will divert as follows.

Service 18 to Stapleford: Buses will be normal route to QMC. Buses will then divert along the A52 to Priory Island, left onto Woodside Road and right Queens Road to normal route.

Service 18 to Nottingham: Buses will be normal route to the end of Queens Road. Buses will then turn left onto University Boulevard, onto Woodside Road, right at Priory Island onto the A52 and normal route from QMC.

Orange 34C to City Loop and hopper 901 to Kegworth. Buses will depart East Drive and then operate via Keighton Hill, right Cut Through Lane, exiting the Campus via North Entrance and normal routes from QMC/Clifton Boulevard

Orange 34C/hopper 901 to Uni Park Campus will operate their normal routes.

Closure of Bathley Street

7th Sep 2026 onwards

Works are taking place at the Arkwright Street/Bathley Street junction. To enable these works, the junction will be closed and Green 11/C will need to divert .

Until the end of service Friday 9th October inclusive, buses will operate as follows:

Green 11/C To Lady Bay: Buses will be normal route to Nottingham Train Station. Buses will then continue on Arkwright Street, left Meadows Way and onto London Road to normal route from Victoria Embankment.

Green 11 to City: Buses will be normal route to the end of Radcliffe Road. Buses will then divert, turning left onto Victoria Embankment, right Bunbury Street and left Bathley Street.

Passengers wanting to travel to Bathley Street or Wilford Grove from the City should catch any NCT Green line service 5/A, 6, 7, 8, 9/B, 10/A/C to Ryehill Street and then walk along Bathley Street to the Bunbury Street named stop.

Passengers who normally alight at Bridgeway Centre should make use of Navy 48.

Closure of Bramcote Lane

1st - 17th Sep 2026

Due to continuing roadworks on Bramcote Lane, service 18A and Pink 30 are diverting each weekday between 1st and 17th September 2026 inclusive.

Between 09:30 - 17:00 each closure day:

Service 18A towards Wollaton will follow normal route to Hemlock Stone then divert left Wollaton Vale, right Trowell Road, continue Russell Drive to resume normal route from The Wheelhouse PH.

Service 18A towards City will follow normal route to the end of Torvill Drive then divert left Trowell Road, left Wollaton Vale to Hemlock Stone, right Bramcote Lane to resume normal route.

Pink 30 towards Wollaton will follow normal route along Wollaton Road to The Wheelhouse PH then continue Russell Drive and onto Trowell Road, left Wollaton Vale to Hemlock Stone, then right Bramcote Lane to resume normal route.

Pink 30 towards City will depart Rosedale Drive terminus and follow normal route through Bramcote as far as Hemlock Stone, buses will them turn left Wollaton Vale, right Trowell Road, continuing Russell Drive to resume normal route from The Wheelhouse PH.

Victoria Centre, Milton Street

1st Sep 2026 onwards

Works on Milton Street, alongside the Victoria Centre will increase from Tuesday 1st September 2026, taking up more of the road and pavement.

As a result, Pink 28 and 30 will both temporarily relocate to Burton Street, alongside The Cornerhouse from start of service on 1st September 2026 until the works are complete.

Queens Road

17th Aug 2026 onwards

There are delays on service 18/A/B because of gas works on Queens Road. The Salisbury Street named stop used by buses towards Beeston and Stapleford is closed.

City Hospital

21st Jun 2026 onwards

Linden Way is closed to all traffic until further notice, affecting Blue 40A.

Blue 40A to City Hospital will follow normal route to Edwards Lane, but continue further along Edwards Lane and enter the City Hospital through Gate 4 to terminate at the Radiotherapy named stop on North Road.

Blue 40A to City will start from the Radiotherapy named stop on North Road and resume normal route.

University North Entrance Bus Stop

14th - 17th Sep 2026

The University North Entrance stop, used by Orange 35, 36 towards City will be closed between 14th and 17th September, whilst works take place.

The nearest alternative stop will be opposite QMC on Derby Road.

Overnight Closures of Hucknall Road

14th - 17th Sep 2026

Carriageway resurfacing works are taking place on Hucknall Road which will require a diversion to Turquoise 79.
Between 14th -16th September, 19:00-06:00 each night, buses will divert as follows:

Turquoise 79 towards Rise Park and Arnold will be normal route to Hucknall Lane/Carey Road. Buses will then turn right onto Carey Road (over the railway crossings) and onto St Albans Road. Buses will then turn left onto Hucknall Road, right Top Valley Way, left Top Valley Drive and left Bestwood Park Drive West to the Rise Park turning circle.

Turquoise 79 towards Bulwell and City will exit Rise Park turning circle, turning left onto Bestwood Park Drive West, right Top Valley Drive, onto Top Valley Way, left Hucknall Road and right onto St Albans Road. Buses will then continue over the railway crossings onto Carey Road and left onto Hucknall Lane and normal route.

All stops on the diversion route will be observed if requested.

Overnight Closure of Mansfield Road (Goose Fair Island to Forest Road East)

14th - 25th Sep 2026

Mansfield Road between Goose Fair Island and Forest Road is being resurfaced by Nottingham City Council.

The resurfacing works will take place overnight and all Brown, Lime, Yellow and Purple Line buses towards City will divert.

The diversions will be in place each weeknight between Monday 14th September 2026 and Thursday 24th September 2026 (20:00-06:00).

All buses towards City will follow normal route to Goose Fair Island then divert right Gregory Boulevard (full length), left Alfreton Road, continue Canning Circus, left Talbot Street, left South Sherwood Street, right North Church Street, right Burton Street, left South Sherwood Street to reach their normal City Centre bus terminus stops.

Buses will not stop on diversion, except for on South Sherwood Street.

Buses leaving the City will follow their normal route through traffic management and lane closures. Some stops may be closed.
